Role Overview
We are offering an exciting
Apprenticeship opportunity for a Level 4 Sports Coach
to join our team. This role is perfect for someone looking to start or develop a career in sports coaching and education. The successful applicant will receive training and hands-on experience delivering P.E. lessons, after school clubs, and community sports sessions, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Support and deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions in schools and community settings.
Assist in planning, organising, and leading PE lessons, after school clubs, and holiday camps.
Encourage children of all abilities to participate, learn, and enjoy sport.
Promote teamwork, fair play, and positive behaviour.
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and professional standards are always maintained.
Attend training sessions and complete all coursework required for the apprenticeship programme.
What We're Looking For
A genuine passion for sport and inspiring young people.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Must hold a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Previous coaching experience or qualifications (desirable, but not essential).
Apprenticeship & Training
You will be enrolled onto the
Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship
programme.
20% of your paid working hours will be dedicated to off-the-job training, workshops, and coursework.
Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced coaches.
Funded opportunities to gain additional qualifications (e.g., Safeguarding, First Aid, Multi-Sports Coaching).
