The PE & School Sports Coach will promote the values and ethos of the North Hull Sports Network, promoting healthy lifestyles and inclusive PE lessons ensuring high aspirations for all pupils.

The PE & School Sports Coach will engage with school staff to improve their knowledge, understanding and delivery of PE.

General Duties

? Delivering high quality inclusive PE lessons, ensuring that the lessons are always;
o Safe
o Purposeful
o Active
o Fun

? Have professional conversations with staff to assist in their continuous professional development and increase their confidence to deliver PE
? Deliver fun and engaging after school sports clubs
? Deliver fun and engaging lunch time clubs
? Communicate effectively and promptly with school staff and line manager
? Be positive about the NHSN and offer to assist in all areas of PESSPA

Skills
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills;

> A clear understanding of the Primary PE Curriculum.
> Ability to communicate effectively with staff, children and young people.
> Be punctual and reliable.
> Have a "can do", positive attitude to work.

Experience

> Experience of coaching. Ideally in Primary Schools but this is not essential as full training will be provided.

Essential qualifications
> Level 2 coaching qualification in at least one given sport.
> Minimum PE A level or equivalent (EG BETEC)

Desirable qualifications
> Certificates in more than one sport or area of the curriculum
> First Aid and Safeguarding certificates

Additional training will be provided.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 15,000.00-17,000.00 per year
