Tulloch Primary School, Perth



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Support Assistant to join our office team.



The role is office based and also involves supervision of children and organising play activities for children during break and lunchtimes.

About the School and Nursery

Tulloch Primary School is situated in the Tulloch area of north west Perth. The school was established in 1969 and in February 2018 we moved from our original school building to our modern, newly built school.



In our wonderful new school we continue to pride ourselves in being a welcoming, successful place where we work together.

Tulloch Primary School has a large team of staff who are nurturing and committed to the success of our children.



The current school roll is 380 made up of 14 classes and Intensive Support Provision classes.



Our Nursery has the capacity to provide early learning and childcare for a maximum 66 children aged 2 to those not yet attending school.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate should be trustworthy, dedicated and maintain confidentiality at all times. You will also be competent in the use of IT systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook.



A knowledge of PKC Schools working systems, such as SEEMIS, PECOS and Parentpay, would be advantageous but in house training will be given.



You will:


Have the ability to work as a team but also be able to work on own initiative. Be professional when dealing with parents/carers, professional agencies and clients and be empathetic, caring and nurturing when interacting and supporting children and families. Have knowledge and commitment to deliver and improve service provision by keeping up to date with relevant legislation, processes and procedures, ensuring high standards are maintained. Communicate effectively with clients/service users and respond in a respectful and caring manner with internal agencies to ensure a quality care provision Have the ability to contribute to the work of the team/service through active participation. Have the ability to understand and have an awareness of the wellbeing and individual needs of client/service users. Have the ability to observe, record and share client /service users changing needs, ensuring information is up to date. Have Digital skills to operate and maintain relevant systems and equipment necessary for completing assigned tasks. ie Word, Excel and Outlook. Be committed to delivering high quality services in accordance with PKC Customer Service Standards. Demonstrate confidentiality and integrity of all Council information. Demonstrate a flexible approach to change and adapting to new ways of working.
