Duties
Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of individual students.
Provide support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.
Work closely with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional tutoring as needed.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the teaching staff on individual achievements and challenges.
Foster effective communication between students, teachers, and parents to enhance the educational experience.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications.
Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities would be desirable.
Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to mentor and tutor students, providing guidance that fosters their academic growth.
Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for supporting individuals on the spectrum is highly desirable.
