Soulbury Range - Points 14-18: 59,766 - 65,342 per annum, Points 19- 21 are awarded upon successful completion of the Structured Professional Assessment (pro rata if part time)

We are seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to take the helm of a thriving primary school-centred Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training) partnership that has built a strong reputation for excellence in teacher education.

Your role and responsibilities




As

Primary SCITT Leader

, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of teacher training in our region. You will:

Lead, manage, and co-ordinate all activities of the Primary Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively. Deliver engaging and informative training sessions on a range of topics to support trainee development. Secure high-quality school placements that provide rich learning experiences for trainees. Liaise closely with trainees, NESTT Tutors, and school-based mentors to ensure robust support systems are in place, enabling trainees to thrive and ensuring high completion rates. Co-ordinate and evaluate the quality of training and support across the programme, promoting consistency and excellence. Identify and share examples of good practice across the ITT programmes to foster continuous improvement.

You Will Need



A degree or equivalent qualification. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Current involvement in ITT or recent experience teaching in a primary school setting. The ability to deliver training that effectively links educational theory to classroom practice. A proven track record of high-quality and creative teaching in the primary phase. Experience in successful coaching and mentoring. A genuine passion for improving the social and economic outcomes of young people through the continuous development of education in our region.
