ALP Leicester have been judged as Good by Ofsted and are keen to continue to develop on their journey to Outstanding. This is an exciting time as we are growing both in numbers of pupils and in our positive reputation.
ALP Schools provide continuity in learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We are a provision for learners on the autistic spectrum or who have other special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We cater for young people in their primary, secondary and post 16 school years. The overarching purpose of our provision is to work with children so that they are able to overcome the barriers to learning that they have previously encountered. We aim to offer flexible, structured and supportive needs led approaches.
We are looking for a teacher who has enthusiasm and passion for working with learners with special educational needs (working below the standard of national curriculum assessments). The post holder will specialise in tuition of english and mathematics, which will be delivered to learners in small group learning sessions.
The post holder will be able to plan, deliver and assess their own teaching and learning activities with some direction and supervision from the Senior Management Team. They will work with learners who are working below the standard of national curriculum assessments and will be able to tutor learners in accordance with the school's curriculum policy.
The post holder will also be required to assist and deliver lessons in other subjects and will be required to support the school's ethos of developing the personal and social development of the learners.
