About the Role

A warm, friendly and inclusive primary school in

Brighton

is looking for a

Primary Teaching Assistant

to join their team

immediately

.

In this role, you'll work closely with pupils who need additional support including those with

autism, ADHD, social/emotional needs and speech & language delays

. You will provide both

1:1 support

and

small-group interventions

, helping pupils to stay engaged, focused and confident in the classroom.

This is a

full-time, term-time only

position perfect for an experienced TA or a motivated graduate who is passionate about primary education.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with

SEN and additional learning needs

across the school day Deliver

1:1

and

small-group

learning activities Assist with individual learning plans, behaviour strategies and daily routines Encourage pupil engagement through positive, creative and supportive approaches Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCo and external specialists Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

Graduate OR Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant / Childcare qualification (preferred) Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or personal experience) Patient, empathetic, adaptable and confident managing different needs Strong communication skills and able to use initiative A positive team player with a genuine passion for helping children succeed
