Principal Applications Consultant

, you will play a pivotal role in delivering successful

One Advanced Financials

implementations to our customers. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will lead complex solution designs, oversee key project phases, and provide strategic guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are delivered to the highest standard. As a subject matter expert, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our delivery methodology, support internal capability development, and mentor consultants to drive excellence across the team.

Our Headquarters is based in Birmingham but this role will come with the option for mostly remote working with an expectation to visit the team at least 1-2 times a month.

What You Will Do:
Lead end-to-end solution delivery for One Advanced Financials, including discovery, design, build, data migration, training, testing, and go-live support. Act as the functional design authority, ensuring solutions align with best practices, product capabilities, and customer business objectives. Engage with senior finance stakeholders to understand business processes, identify gaps, and recommend effective system solutions. Deliver high-quality workshops and presentations to guide customers through financial configuration and process optimisation. Provide hands-on configuration and oversee delivery to ensure consistency and quality across projects. Support the development of implementation methodologies, templates, and accelerators to enhance delivery efficiency. Mentor and coach application consultants, fostering skills development and promoting a culture of excellence. Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Support, and Sales, to ensure smooth project execution and continuous product feedback. Contribute to pre-sales activity when required, including solution demonstrations and scoping input. Stay up to date with product enhancements and industry trends to ensure our services remain best-in-class.

What You Will Have:
Proven experience delivering One Advanced Financials or a similar ERP Financials solution in a consulting or implementation capacity. Deep functional expertise across core financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Banking. Strong understanding of finance processes and how they translate into system configuration. A track record of successfully leading complex implementation projects with multiple stakeholders. Excellent workshop facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior finance leaders. Experience mentoring and developing other consultants or team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering customer value. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Professional finance or accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) are desirable but not essential. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
