As Principal Applied Scientist - Wind Park & Turbine Performance, you will be a recognized authority and visionary within the field of wind park and turbine performance, with core expertise in power performance testing, power curve analysis, and comprehensive warranty management together with relevant stakeholders. You will define and execute the strategic vision for optimizing wind turbine and wind farm performance--setting the industry standard through advanced measurement approaches, sophisticated data analytics, and statistical modeling.





About the role



Leading the development and implementation of methodologies for power curve warranties, performance tests, measurement campaigns, and post-construction yield assessments. Interpreting and validating contractual power performance requirements, overseeing the management and resolution of warranty claims and disputes. Architecting and overseeing power performance measurement strategies in accordance with international standards, ensuring rigorous instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis across offshore wind assets Innovating processes for data validation, filtering, and statistical analysis, transforming complex data into actionable insights for project and operational teams. Driving the continuous optimization of business processes, workflows, and cross-departmental consistency to support efficiency and best practice adoption. Authoring and reviewing technical documentation, contributing to tenders, risk assessments, and procurement decisions with in-depth technical expertise. Staying abreast of technological advancements and evolving industry standards, continually refining internal procedures, tools, and methodologies. Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues, helping to build organizational expertise and a culture of knowledge sharing.

Job requirements and experience



Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Physics, or related discipline Significant experience (10+ years) in the wind power industry, with a strong focus on power performance testing and analysis Deep understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEC 61400-12 series) Proven experience in managing power curve warranty processes and claims, preferably for large-scale offshore wind projects Proficient in relevant data analysis tools and software (e.g. Python, WindPRO, Windographer, Openwind or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
