The management of risk posed by utilities infrastructure on a successful building project is paramount to its success. Issues such as capacity shortages, encroachment on aging assets and commercial opportunities are increasingly requiring a particular skill set to manage.

WSP is currently recruiting for a Principal / Associate level Utilities Infrastructure Consultant, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with clients to help deliver complex and demanding key schemes
  • Working closely with the Building Services team to maintain existing and develop new client relationships
  • Ensuring a high standard of work and information is provided to clients
  • Providing an experienced senior point of contact for clients on key projects
  • Mentoring team members
  • Making a demonstrable contribution to the company\xe2\x80\x99s turnover and profitability
  • Quality service and professional reputation

To be considered for this Principal / Associate level Utilities Infrastructure Consultant role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies for small, medium and large schemes in the UK.
  • Understanding of requirements of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks owners
  • Experience of Multi-utility / iDNO / ICP offerings would be beneficial.
  • Project experience of large multi-disciplinary buildings schemes.
  • Proven project / programme management experience across large / complex projects
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and effectively organise your time between them
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Technical and commercial understanding of the industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex and challenging critical issues for large complex masterplan multi-billion pound projects as well as smaller challenging projects.
