DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is a long term $multi-billion initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. This role is focused on delivering this service in the Middle East and Africa (MEA)

We are looking for a talented MEA Lead who is ready to take charge of business planning and support our strategy for our market entry plans across the Middle East and Africa. As one of our key team members, you will be obsessed with both a commercial focus and matching our standards for operational excellence.

The Kuiper Business Development team is focused on launching and operating the Kuiper service across the globe. The role will be based in our office in Waterfall City, Johannesburg, South Africa

The successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization with teams across the globe in multiple time zones and be adept at understanding how business and residential customers work across MEA. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technologically savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially in consumer related products. We want to find someone who is ready to lead business relationships and help build our consumer services business. You will be responsible for negotiating contract terms and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to develop country planning for partnerships and operations. Help onboard our partners and make them successful. Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders. Identify new opportunities and prepare a detailed business case justification. Knowledge of working in the telecommunications or IT services sectors in these regions would be an advantage

Key job responsibilities
- Identify and then build and maintain external relationships with service providers, distributors and other potential partners across the sales and service customer lifecycle
- Support the business development efforts in the region
- Drive operational readiness and provide input into strategy development for Kuiper operations in both the Middle East and Africa Europe through operational planning, cross-functional relationships and development of strategic partner relationships
- Define and manage the operational key performance indicators, and success criteria for our overall commercial performance in the regions
-Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to engage in local and regional regulatory efforts
- Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders
\xc2\xb7 Prepare a detailed business case for justification of new opportunities
\xc2\xb7 Once operational, meet business goals, performance objectives and deliver a fantastic customer experience

A day in the life
You will lead our efforts to deliver the Kuiper service in the region, working with strategic partners to both sell and service residential and business customers and work across Amazon to develop a compelling model of operations.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

London, GBR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
- MBA

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience interfacing with customers (Enterprise, SMB, and Startups) and ability to convert customer requirements to high level architecture solutions to build on
- Some international travel maybe required
- Experience in building and managing strategic partnerships
- Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast paced culture
- Understanding of telecommunications, internet and/or satellite technology
- Knowledge and familiarity with satellite or telecommunications regulatory process in MEA region
- Able to apply high level analytical and creative problem-solving skills
