We're looking for a

Principal Consultant

to join our

Major Projects team at GoBe Consultants Ltd (part of the APEM Group)

. This is a senior role at the forefront of the offshore wind industry--supporting large EIA and post consent projects and contributing to emerging opportunities in floating offshore wind and other coastal infrastructure.



As a Principal Consultant, you'll oversee the delivery of complex offshore projects, providing expert advice on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA), and consent compliance. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, working closely with consent managers, engineers, legal advisors, and regulators to deliver effective, practical solutions. Alongside project delivery, you'll play a key role in mentoring junior consultants, shaping project teams, and helping drive strategic growth in this rapidly evolving sector.



To be successful in this role, you'll need:




A degree (ideally MSc) in a relevant

offshore/marine science discipline

Significant experience delivering

marine EIAs

and/or HRA for major offshore projects A proven track record of providing technical assessments in offshore renewables or other marine development sectors Strong project management experience, including financial and programme oversight Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging with regulators, stakeholders, and clients Ability to manage teams and review/quality assure complex deliverables

Desirable experience includes:




Leading multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring junior colleagues Post-consent project delivery experience Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards it) Familiarity with the UK, ROI or Scottish planning process Experience engaging with statutory regulators and stakeholders, particularly in Scotland Confidence in problem-solving and developing innovative solutions Experience on

international projects

and delivery of ESIA
