Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day delivery of electrical design work on a range of building services projects, from concept through to completion.
Contribute to early-stage design strategy and ensure alignment with client briefs, building regulations, and sustainability goals.
Coordinate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
Manage project fees, resource planning, timelines, and technical delivery in partnership with senior leadership.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, apprentices, and graduates to support their professional development.
Proactively identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within project workflows.
Requirements & Skills
Proven experience in electrical engineering within the
building services
sector, with a successful record of delivering complex and multidisciplinary projects.
Proficient in industry-standard tools and software, including
Revit
,
BIM
,
Dialux
,
Relux
,
Amtech
(Electrical OM), and related platforms.
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems design including lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
A proactive and open-minded approach to problem-solving and innovation.
Committed to mentoring and developing junior team members and promoting knowledge sharing.
Desirable
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered Engineer status or working toward it (e.g. CEng via IET or CIBSE).
Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and modern low-carbon design strategies.
