Seeking a Principal/Founding Engineer to build a disinformation intelligence platform, leading a cross-functional team, and developing machine learning foundations.
We are looking for a talented, driven, and experienced Principal/Founding Engineer to join us early on in our mission of detecting and tackling disinformation attacks as they happen, bringing threat actors under the spotlight and building a reliable veracity scoring model for public information. Our success in detecting and defending against disinformation attacks builds on critical thinking, skill, and creativity to correctly identify, process, and learn from signals in large and noisy feeds spanning the entirety of the internet. This is a key role for us and the ideal candidate blends entrepreneurial drive and versatility with experience and structure, carefully balancing building for today with building for the future. As an early stage joiner, you would be working very closely with our CTO, Founding ML engineer, and Threat Intelligence Analyst, building the MVP as well as the machine learning foundation for the future.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and operating a world-class disinformation intelligence platform as the leader of a close-knit cross-functional team.
- Devising and implementing rigorous and scalable approaches to ingesting, enriching, and analyzing large volumes of rich internet data.
- Building delightful end-user experiences, both internal and external facing, that combine high-level strategic insight with rich tactical information.
- Balancing short-term priorities with long-term platform evolution and technical debt.
- Leading the adoption of engineering and quality best practices.
- Nurturing our culture of collaboration and continual improvement through mentoring, honest, and considerate feedback.
