Why join Pirical? Our team says it best:

"You're not just a number. You have a voice and can make an impact. It's extremely rare if you have a good idea here that it won't be given due diligence." - Analyst

"HUGE amounts of autonomy and flexibility in a less structured environment than a big company." - Customer Success Rep

"The company values logic and continuous improvement. Problem-solving from first principles is normal and encouraged." - Data Engineer

"Ample L&D opportunities. It's a place where the brighter you want to shine, the company is likely to help facilitate that." - Software Engineer

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping a modern architecture that embraces forward-thinking tools and technologies, including graph databases and AI-driven solutions, to unlock smarter, faster decision-making for our clients.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building and mentoring teams, driving product excellence, and rolling up their sleeves to write meaningful code..

Responsibilities include:

Lead from the front with high-quality code and a strong technical vision Set the technology direction for PLP, bringing modern, scalable solutions to life Provide mentorship and technical leadership to a growing development team Champion innovation by applying the latest technologies and practices (including AI) to drive product performance Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to align tech initiatives with strategic goals Define and execute a roadmap toward becoming CTO for PLP and eventually the company

The Person:

6+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally within a SaaS or web application environment Strong full-stack skills, with a backend bias (experience with Angular, Node.js, or similar is helpful but not essential) Proven ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and establish a technical vision Hands-on mindset with a desire to code and guide by example Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to align tech decisions with commercial goals Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a passion for modernising legacy systems Brings a pragmatic engineering mindset: bias for action, systems thinking, and a focus on long-term maintainability over quick fixes

It is vitally important that each of our team members feels confident, comfortable, and empowered.
