Job Title: Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering (Model Based Architect)

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
What you'll be doing:

• Design and maintain requirements, architectures, and system designs for complex technical systems
• Generate SysML views to capture interactions between complex systems within the Submarine
• Support with the full utilisation and development of model-based systems engineering artifacts across a portfolio of products
• Expand, elaborate, and own key system design elements and associated systems engineering products that drive customer success
• Work with cross-functional teams to define system functions, requirements and design elements to ensure optimal performance in constrained technical environments
• Decompose complex designs into understandable components for further elaboration and development
• Support the execution of the full project lifecycle, from planning, through implementation, to operational readiness

Your skills and experiences:

• Hold a Degree or equivalent within a STEM field
• Have a strong familiarisation of SysML
• You will need to have experience of using Model Based System Engineering toolsets such as Enterprise Architect
• Have a firm understanding of Systems Engineering and Systems thinking
• Familiarity with the Engineering System Lifecycle and its related process (specifically processes mentioned ISO/IEC 15288)

You will play a key part in how we bring various complex systems together to support whole boat operations. You will be involved in one of the biggest and most expensive programmes within the United Kingdom and have fantastic room for career growth and progression within the role. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
