Minimum of 10 years experience in a ground investigation environment
Chartered, ideally with an MSc in Geotechnical/Civil engineering
Self starter, team player with good interpersonal skills and proactive approach
Experience of getting involved with business development to promote growth
Entrepreneurial individual with initiative and drive to deliver
Role Outline:
Assist with business development, effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies
Prepare and manage financial budgets for projects
Managing projects from inception to completion
Travel to sites with some site supervision
Writing and preparation of desk study reports, interpretative geotechnical and geoenvironmental reports and waste classification assessments
A thorough understanding of characterising ground conditions and providing recommendations covering foundation design, ground improvements, earthworks, basements/retaining walls, mining, dissolution, slope stability and environmental assessments. Conversant with GEO5 design software and geophysical surveys would be advantageous
Technical support and mentoring to junior and senior staff and review high quality technical reports
A full UK driver's licence is required for travelling and a valid CSCS card would be advantageous
