Principal Engineering Geologist

A respected Geoenvironmental and Geotechnical consultancy is seeking a Principal Engineering Geologist to join their growing team in Newquay, Cornwall.

As Principal Engineering Geologist, you will take a central technical and operational position, with responsibilities including:
Leading multiple geo-environmental and geotechnical projects of varying complexity
Preparing and reviewing fee proposals, technical scopes and quality-assured reports
Providing expert input across ground investigation, interpretation and design
Acting as a key technical contact for clients and design teams
Mentoring junior and mid-level staff and supporting senior operational decisions
To be considered for this Principal Engineering Geologist position, you must demonstrate:
Chartered status (CEng or CGeol) with extensive post-graduate consultancy experience
Strong foundation design, piled foundations and slope stability expertise
Competence in ground investigation interpretation (BS 5930, BS 10175, Eurocode 7)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities * Live in or near to Newquay
