We want to be the best council, committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of our residents and the public. We work to ensure that homes in the borough\'s private rented sector are safe and well managed by responsible landlords and letting agents. This is an opportunity to utilise your technical expertise and leadership skills across the borough\'s highly varied housing profile, working closely with landlords, registered providers, owners, agents, and tenants to apply transparent and consistent regulation within the PRS market, through enforcement and delivery of licensing of houses in multiple occupation.

Leading and developing a team of five, you\'ll work to provide an excellent licensing service and robust enforcement, using the full range of powers available, ensuring we pursue legal punishment of those who flout the law. There\'s a high level of \'hands on\' casework and project work but also involvement in strategy and policy development. Your overall aim will be to provide a high quality, customer-focused service that prioritises vulnerable tenants and contributes to the overall improvement of housing conditions across the borough.
