Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical systems across multiple data?centre development projects. The role spans early-stage feasibility, design oversight, construction support, and commissioning input, working closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and evaluating mechanical system designs for data?centre projects across Europe.
Support the review of consultant and contractor mechanical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Contribute to design coordination for cooling systems, ventilation, fire?suppression, and other building services.
Use engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and CFD software to assess mechanical system performance.
Ensure designs align with energy?efficiency standards, sustainability objectives, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in procurement processes, including technical review of vendor proposals and equipment submittals.
Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation for multiple ongoing developments.
Collaborate with cross?functional teams, stakeholders, authorities, and utility providers.
Conduct site visits during construction to review installation progress and quality.
Support commissioning activities and technical validation during project handover.
Required Skills & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical design, building services, or project engineering.
Experience in data?centre, high?tech, or mission?critical environments is advantageous.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, MS Project, and familiarity with CFD tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, energy?efficient design, and relevant codes/standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
