As a Principal Technical Product Manager for the Prime Video Web and Desktop teams you will help define and build the roadmap and customer experience for video across geographies. You will participate in developing the video strategy and 3-year vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with engineering, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our customer experience. We are looking for someone who is highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and has the ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will also have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. You will have experience of working with software engineers to deliver customer facing technology products.

In this role you will:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Prime Video customer, both existing and potential.
  • Own the development of detailed product requirements documents.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management teams to deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Drive projects, products, and feature launches with teams both inside and outside of the team including: business development, content acquisition, legal, marketing, finance, customer service, and operations.

A day in the life
You will be a product leader for the Prime Video global website and part of the global Core CX team. You will work closely with UX, Engineering, Legal, Personalisation, Analytics, and other device or feature specific product teams. You will create a 3-year product vision for our websites and work with the various teams to execute your roadmap. You will write recommendations to improve our CX and influence senior leadership and partner teams to get their buy-in. You will launch experiments to make data driven decisions and dive deep into customer engagement metrics.

About the team
The Prime Video London Core CX team owns device groups and features that drive the majority of Prime Video streams globally. Our team looks after technical product management functions for living room devices (smart TVs, gaming consoles, streaming devices, MVPDs), web, and desktop apps. We are co-located and work closely with an engineering team of 150 software developers. The team owns core experiences such as browse, search, details pages, navigation, my stuff, device performance, ratings, offer clarity, entitlement, and more.

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • A passion for digital video and/or media.
  • Track record of setting a bold vision and executing on it with your direct team and with partner teams
