Role Overview



We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary

Enterprise Data Architect

to lead the architecture, design and implementation of a modern, scalable, and secure data ecosystem for one of the largest public healthcare systems in the UK. This is a multi-year transformation initiative focused on delivering data-driven insights, and enabling advanced analytics capabilities.


Key Responsibilities



Lead the

end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery

of a strategic data platform program. Engage with

business stakeholders, enterprise architects, technology partners

, and delivery teams to define and drive the data strategy. Architect and implement solutions using the

Microsoft Azure Data Stack

, including:
+

Microsoft Fabric


+

Azure Data Factory (ADF)


+

Azure Databricks


+

Microsoft Purview


+

Power BI

,

OneLake

, and

Dataverse


Define

reference architectures

,

data models

, and

integration patterns

for clinical, operational, and workforce data. Support HRMS

modernization

, integrating legacy systems with cloud-native platforms. Implement

data governance frameworks

aligned with

GDPR

,

HIPAA

, and UK public sector compliance mandates. Enable

AI/ML capabilities

for predictive analytics and operational insights. Legacy modernisation and implementation of

lakehouse architecture

. Work n a

global delivery model

, ensuring alignment across geographies, multi cultural teams and time zones






Required Qualifications



15+ years

of experience in

data & analytics platform architecture and design

.

5+ years

of hands-on experience with

Microsoft Azure Data Technologies

. Proven track record of delivering

at least one large-scale program

within the

UK public sector

, preferably in

UK healthcare

. Strong understanding of

data mesh

,

lakehouse

, and

modern data architecture principles

. Experience working with

Oracle HCM

is highly desirable. Exceptional

communication and stakeholder management skills

. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.






Preferred Experience



Experience in

HRMS transformation

in public sector or healthcare domains. Familiarity with

UK healthcare data standards
