Prison Healthcare Assistant Pay Rate: \xc2\xa315.51 - \xc2\xa320.51 per hour (assignment rate)

Location: Market Harborough

Contract Type: Ongoing contract

Shift Pattern:

• Flexible hours

Duties:

• Support the provision of a high standard of health care to patients in prison under the guidance of the Senior Clinical Team and Head of Health Care
• Administer medication under a patient-specific direction with the supervision of a registered healthcare professional
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of patients with specified long-term conditions by providing quality evidence-based care
• Working shifts that involve Constant Watch of patients that require 24/7 supervision due to risk or self-harm and other physical/mental health conditions
• Assist with clerical and administrative duties as required
• Ensure privacy and dignity are maintained
• Support the promotion of health and wellbeing of clients
• Undertake clinical interventions as delegated by a senior team member

Requirements of the Prison Healthcare Assistant:

• Recent experience working as an HCA, Healthcare Assistant
• PMVA required
• Prison clearance \xe2\x80\x93 preferred but not essential
• Aware of and act upon, where necessary, the procedures in place to protect vulnerable individuals
