We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
Assess and monitor patients' mental health status, including mood, behaviour, and risk factors.
Administer prescribed psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects.
Provide therapeutic interventions, emotional support, and crisis de-escalation when necessary.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement mental health care plans.
Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and treatment options.
Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records in accordance with mental health legislation and protocols.
Participate in continuing professional development and reflective practice to enhance mental health nursing expertise.
Qualifications
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification or equivalent nursing certification.
Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and therapeutic approaches.
Experience in a mental health or psychiatric care setting is preferred.
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills to support patients in distress.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in challenging situations.
