Job Summary



We are seeking a Privacy Technology Specialist who will ensure that privacy principles are effectively integrated across our Agile delivery and platform environments within the SAFe framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical engineering background and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable, testable user stories.


This role requires someone who can review and challenge technical designs for privacy compliance, embed non-functional requirements (NFRs) into agile workflows, and support teams in adopting privacy-preserving engineering practices such as data minimization and consent management.


The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Solution Management, and Architecture teams, act as the subject matter expert for privacy incidents, and ensure that privacy risks are proactively identified and addressed throughout delivery cycles.


Responsibilities



Aligns to SAFe organisation and embedded into Agile Release and Solution Trains of sky.com. Consume upstream NFRs, apply them to epics, features and acceptance criteria. Inspect and challenge team technical plans, designs and implementations for privacy adherence. Translate ambiguous regulatory intent into clear, testable user stories and acceptance tests. Support PI planning by flagging privacy risks and ensuring NFRs are included; validate delivery outputs. Act as on-point privacy Incident SME for delivery and platform. Coach teams in privacy-preserving technical patterns (data minimization, anonymization, consent management).

Eligibility Requirements



Technical Skills



Technical engineering background - data pipelines, APIs, SDKs, client/server tracking, consent tooling. Regulatory awareness - enough legal literacy to detect risks and escalate. BDD / NFR application - can embed requirements into agile workflows. Systems thinking - understands dependencies across solutions, platforms and vendors. Strong collaboration with Product, Solution Management, Architects. Risk awareness - able to participate in ROAMing risks, inspect and adapt ceremonies

Soft Skills



Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong collaboration and partnership skills Strong business acumen with a focus on delivering solutions that drive business value.

Preferred Qualifications



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics or a related field. Proficiency in applying problem-solving frameworks (such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, or Design Thinking) to address complex business challenges. Certifications: PMP, Agile, or Analytics certifications (good to have)
