We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to a man aged 55 with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS). Responsibilities

Assist client with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Administer medication in accordance with prescribed care plans and medical terminology Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring safety at all times Manage behaviour and provide emotional support. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, medication schedules, and patient progress Collaborate with healthcare professionals and case managers to deliver comprehensive patient care Implement specialised care techniques such as dementia care, hospice support, and case management strategies Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience in senior care, home care, or nursing home environments is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Certification in first aid is preferred; additional training in MS care is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage behaviour effectively and provide compassionate support. Ability to perform lifting safely and assist with mobility needs. Experience working within assisted living or hospice settings is a plus Organised with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately A caring attitude combined with patience, empathy, and professionalism is essential for success in this role.
