Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to client specifications, dietary restrictions, and preferences. Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and client tastes while ensuring nutritional balance. Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, inventory management, and staff coordination. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to all food safety regulations. Collaborate with clients to understand their culinary needs and provide exceptional service. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards. Manage food supplies efficiently to minimise waste while ensuring quality is upheld. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative ideas into meal preparation.

Experience

Proven experience as a chef in a private household or fine dining establishment is essential. Strong skills in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management are required. Experience in supervising a team and leading kitchen operations effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality is crucial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members alike. A creative approach to cooking with an eye for presentation is highly desirable.
