Are you an experienced legal fee earner with a passion for delivering outstanding client service in private client law? Our client, a well-regarded and expanding law firm, is seeking a proactive Private Client Fee Earner to join their reputable team. This is a unique opportunity to manage a varied caseload, support valued clients through key life events, and develop your career within a supportive, flexible working environment that genuinely values your expertise.


Location: Solihull or Castle Bromwich


Type: Permanent Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 5pm


Salary: 35,000 - 40,000

Private Client Law - Responsibilities and Caseload

Manage your own files across the full spectrum of private client work, including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection matters. Provide tailored, empathetic legal advice to individuals and families, guiding clients through complex and sensitive issues with clarity and professionalism. Draft and review key documentation, including Wills, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, ensuring best practice and compliance at all times. Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and working together to deliver seamless client service. Keep abreast of developments in private client law, regulation, and best practice, proactively updating your knowledge and skills. Maintain accurate records, utilise case management systems, and ensure all compliance and regulatory obligations are met.

Essential Skills and Experience in Private Client Law



Minimum 2 years' experience in a private client legal role, with experience managing your own caseload as a fee earner. Comprehensive understanding of private client matters, including probate, Wills, estate planning, trusts, and associated tax considerations. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work with autonomy. Strong interpersonal and client care skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse client base. Effective communicator and team player, able to work collaboratively and contribute positively to team culture. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear, practical advice tailored to clients' needs. IT literate, confident in using case management systems and standard office software.
