Our junior staff at Hutton's Law play a vital role in the practice and are viewed as our lawyers of the future. We therefore believe in providing a paralegal role which is varied, client facing and which offers you the opportunity to show your talents from the outset. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and we generate our work through recommendations and long-standing client relationships, so the ability to consistently deliver is of critical importance to us.
This is a role within the firm's general practice Private Client team, which means that you will have the opportunity to work across various areas of Private Client including dealing with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate, high net worth estate planning and Court of Protection.
In addition, you may also have the opportunity to work in other areas such as Civil and Disputes.
You will be treated a key member of the team from the outset and must be adaptable and comfortable working to targets and timescales.
You will be encouraged to familiarise yourself with the handling of a file from start to finish, which will involve drafting documentation, assisting with the preparation of HMRC paperwork, conducting legal research, attending client meetings to assist when required, managing deadlines and handling inbound queries from clients.
You should be a candidate who is passionate about the law, ideally with an academic background or a genuine interest and talent for a career within the legal industry. You will be dedicated to providing an outstanding service to clients and will take the initiative to develop your legal knowledge and understanding of the law in practice.
You will also have the ability to produce quality work, under supervision, ensuring that you are meticulous and organised, whilst working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent IT skills (familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills)
We recruit all our future trainees from our existing paralegals, and we have training contracts in this role for the right candidate.
