This is an exciting opportunity to support a busy Private Client department in Spalding, working on a wide range of matters including Wills, LPAs, Probate and Estate Administration. What you'll be doing:
  • Providing accurate and efficient typing, secretarial and admin support to fee earners
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence - including Wills, Codicils, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts
  • Managing digital dictation and case management systems, keeping electronic files organised and up to date
  • Assisting with file opening, client care letters, compliance checks, archiving, and billing
  • Booking appointments, managing diaries, and handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Liaising with clients both over the phone and in person - always with a friendly and professional approach
  • Retrieving and storing important original documents and maintaining strong room procedures
  • Supporting estate administration, including Land Registry forms and document preparation
What they're looking for:
  • Experience working as a Legal Secretary (ideally in private client, though other areas are welcome too)
  • A strong grasp of legal admin and digital systems (Microsoft Office, dictation tools, case management etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail - especially when typing and preparing legal documents
  • Someone calm under pressure, who works well both independently and as part of a team
  • A friendly, professional attitude and the ability to speak to clients with empathy and discretion
  • Willingness to get involved, learn new skills, and support the wider team as needed
