Description of role and key responsibilities:
Private Client Lending Operations (PCLO) is responsible for all post credit operational activities associated with lending to High-net-worth individuals. This includes organising valuations of the security, drafting loan offer letters, engaging with external solicitors, pay away of funds and managing all other post completion lifecycle events.
As a Loan Originations Specialist in the PCLO (Private Client Lending Operations) team, your main responsibility is the management of the loan journey from credit approval to pay-away. You will manage a varied portfolio of retail and specialist mortgages, as well as other types of secured and unsecured lending.
Your role is crucial in delivering a high quality of service to our clients while building great relationships with our panel firms and internal stakeholders. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Management Information (MI) and dashboard workflows to facilitate effective decision-making and ensure that SLAs are consistently met across the team.
Working under MCOB and other regulations with an understanding of all associated risks you will be responsible for the following:

• Serve as the main point of contact between the team and the lead, ensuring clear communication of goals, updates, and any concerns.
• Monitor key performance metrics through dashboards and provide useful insights to both the team and the manager.
• Facilitate the accurate flow of information and feedback from MI systems between the team and the manager. Review and approve payment transactions and internal transfers, ensuring each request adheres to organisational policies and required financial controls.
• Oversee workflow system approvals.
• Pipeline Management: Managing a pipeline of cases proactively and efficiently to ensure cases are moving from application to completion in a timely manner. This would include management of required documentation release and legal due diligence.
• Liaising with internal teams to resolve any challenges that arise throughout the origination process and escalating to management where appropriate.
• Third Party Liaison: Working with external firms such as valuers and solicitors to ensure the relevant due diligence has been completed prior to pay-away.
• Regulatory & Risk Compliance: Ensuring all regulatory and internal requirements have been met prior to loan completion.
• Project Participation: Participating in ad hoc projects and small change initiatives where relevant.
• Support Flexibility: Supporting the wider Lending Operations team during busy periods, being flexible within your role and daily tasks.

Core skills and knowledge:

• Excellent knowledge of operational processes involved in mortgage, property & secured lending to individuals and SPVs.
• A sound knowledge of credit, regulatory and legal requirements for mortgages and personal lending.
• Ability to balance client experience against business and operational risk.
• Ability to manage multiple deals and tasks in tandem in line with SLAs and whilst keeping key stakeholders informed of progress.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Good organisation and strong attention to detail.
• Energetic and enthusiastic, a self-starter who is keen to work hard and help develop the business.
• Passionate about providing extraordinary service to our clients.
• Analytical mind set - ability to problem solve and take ownership of creating positive outcomes.
• Love working as part of a wider team and interacting with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
