Private Client Secretary/paralegal

Job Description

We are looking for a Private Client Paralegal/Secretary to provide high-level administrative and legal support to solicitors/legal executives handling private client matters, including wills, powers of attorney, estate planning, probate, tax planning, and family wealth management. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion, as well as the ability to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities:



Paralegal Duties:

Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate applications. Conduct research on legal, financial, and tax matters relevant to private clients. Assist with estate administration, including the preparation of inheritance tax calculations, letters of administration, and grant applications. Liaise with clients, executors, trustees, accountants, and other professional advisors. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and client records. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Secretarial / Administrative Duties:

Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and organize appointments for fee earners. Draft correspondence and manage incoming/outgoing communications. Answer and direct telephone calls in a professional manner. Prepare and format legal documents, presentations, and reports. Support billing and time recording processes. Coordinate and organize client meetings, conference calls, and events.

Skills & Qualifications:



Previous experience as a paralegal or legal secretary, preferably in private client law (wills, trusts, probate). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads effectively. Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently Professionalism and discretion. Client-focused attitude. Time management and prioritization. Problem-solving and initiative. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,420.00-30,000.00 per year
