, we're growing our capabilities in the

Private Client

space. While we're building out the team, the work is already coming in - and we need someone we can trust to help us deliver it.

This isn't a full-time role or even regular hours. It's ideal for someone running their own small practice or working as a contractor, who's happy to support us

as and when needed

. If you like variety, flexibility, and working with a forward-thinking team, we could be a great fit for each other.

You'll be helping clients with complex, sensitive matters - from

wills and estate planning to trusts and probate

. This work is high impact and deeply personal for our clients, so we're looking for someone who's not only technically excellent, but also empathetic and clear in their communication.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting and reviewing wills to reflect clients' wishes and protect their interests. Advising on and establishing trusts to safeguard assets and manage wealth effectively. Estate and inheritance tax planning, ensuring efficient tax structures and compliance. Handling the administration of estates, including probate applications and asset distribution. Providing wealth protection and succession planning advice, tailored to individual and family needs. Collaborating with accountants and financial advisors within the Sumer Group to deliver holistic client solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualified and experienced Private Client solicitor Demonstrated ability to develop lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families, fostering trust and client loyalty. Expertise in drafting wills, trusts, and other legal documents with precision and clarity. Experience working with SME clients, providing consultative and commercially aware advice. Experience in managing probate and estate administration processes efficiently and accurately. Pragmatic in approach, able to balance legal precision with real-world client needs. Clear and empathetic communicator - someone who can translate complex legal matters into plain English.
