Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Private Client Solicitor
to join our team. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private client work, providing specialist advice on wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, and powers of attorney. This role offers the opportunity to build long-term client relationships and develop expertise within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and tax planning.
Advise clients on estate and succession planning, inheritance tax, and wealth preservation strategies.
Draft wills, trust deeds, LPAs, and other relevant documents.
Handle probate applications and estate administration from start to finish.
Liaise with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and other professionals.
Provide clear, practical advice to clients with sensitivity and professionalism.
Ensure compliance with SRA regulations and firm procedures.
Actively contribute to business development, networking, and raising the profile of the department.
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (ideally 3+ years PQE in private client law).
Demonstrable experience in wills, probate, trusts, estate planning, and tax.
STEP qualification (completed or working towards) is highly desirable.
Excellent drafting, technical, and advisory skills.
Strong client care skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and empathetically.
Ability to manage caseload independently while working as part of a team.
Organised, proactive, and committed to high professional standards.
Must be available for a
full-time, office-based role
in Central London.
