United Bus Company is a family run business which offers organisations, schools and individuals private hire for any bus/coach requirements they may have. We are growing our team based in Carrickfergus to add a reliable and skilled driver. This role is essential for ensuring timely and safe private hire coach runs, while maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate must hold a Cat D drivers licence, a valid DQC card and have strong customer service skills. Previous experience in driving coaches/busses is advantageous. Duties

Operate commercial busses of various sizes, for private rentals while following all traffic and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional during all interactions. Complete pre and post run checks. This includes routine vehicle checks while maintaining accurate records for relevant checks and keeping the vehicles in a clean and presentable manner. Plan your assigned work and routes in advance to comply with legal driving hours and recording rest breaks. Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while minimising delays. Communicate effectively with office team on any issues that may arise.

Experience

Must hold valid Category D driving licence and DQC card. Must provide a high level of customer service to all customers. Strong timekeeping and reliability is essential. Geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland is advantageous. Proven experience as a bus/coach driver or in a similar role is preferred. Willing to undergo an Access NI enhanced check.

Pay: 14.00 per hour
