Job Description

We are seeking passionate and skilled in-person English tutors to join our team, specialising in preparation for

7+, 8+, 11+, 13+ school entrance exams, as well as GCSE.

About the Role

Deliver engaging, face-to-face English lessons to students, focusing on reading, writing, comprehension, and exam preparation. Provide constructive feedback on students' work, helping them improve content, structure, and clarity. Assist in refining lesson materials and teaching resources to enhance learning outcomes. Work closely with students to build confidence, develop skills, and extend learning beyond the curriculum. Collaborate with other tutors and staff to maintain a consistent, high-quality teaching experience.

What We're Looking For

An experienced and confident English tutor who:

Understands the

KS1, KS2, KS3, and GCSE curriculums

and enjoys working with learners in

Years 1-11 and beyond

. Can explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles. Provides meaningful feedback to students and on teaching materials. Shows patience, clarity, and enthusiasm in teaching. Is committed to continuous improvement of resources and lessons.

Key Requirements

Required:

Strong subject knowledge of English, including grammar, comprehension, writing, and exam skills. Degree in English, Education, or a related subject. Proven experience tutoring or teaching high-achieving students. Minimum

2 years of tutoring/teaching experience.

English fluency. Work authorisation: United Kingdom. Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to students and contribute ideas for lesson improvement. A confident, professional, and engaging teaching style. Available for in-person tutoring in

Fulham, London

.

Preferred:

Technically confident working with

PowerPoint slides, PDFs, and Excel.

Schedule

Weekend classes (in-person at our new Fulham centre).

Face-to-face sessions (1.5 to 2 hours each), which may occasionally run back-to-back.
