Our new Carmarthen clinic is seeking a skilled and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join the team.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HCA to provide direct clinical support to our GPs and nurses. The role involves working with patients across a range of services, ensuring excellent care, comfort, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Phlebotomy - carrying out venepuncture safely and efficiently.

Health Assessments - supporting patient check-ups including vital signs, BMI, and basic clinical observations.

ECG Testing - performing and recording ECGs to a high standard.

Vaccinations - administering selected vaccinations under clinical guidance.

Supporting GPs and nurses with day-to-day clinical activities.

Maintaining accurate clinical records.

Ensuring infection control and patient safety at all times.

Providing excellent communication and reassurance to patients.

Essential Requirements

Previous HCA experience in a healthcare setting.

Phlebotomy training and competence.

Experience performing ECGs.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible and patient-focused approach.

Desirable

Experience in private healthcare.

Vaccination training (although training can be provided).

IT literacy for use of clinical booking and record systems.
