Job Description

Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for a professional and friendly private hire driver to work with us, transporting school children from home to school and return. There also may be the option for additional hours, providing long distance and airport transfers for our customers. We provide transfers for customers to and from Shropshire to various parts of the UK, including airports and seaports, therefore this work is long distance.

You will need to be professional, smart, friendly, have a good standard of the English language and be prepared to work at various times of the day.

Transporting children from home to school will be term time, mornings and afternoons but the long distance work can be at any time of day or night, weekdays and weekends, including bank holidays. You must be willing to wear smart attire for all jobs, including a suit and tie in some cases.

You do not require your own vehicle as you would use the company's vehicle(s) to provide the transfers in.

You must hold a full UK driving licence, preferable clean, however, 3 points will be considered and your standard of driving must be excellent. You must be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. We have a range of vehicles we expect you to be able to drive from saloons through to 9 seat MPVs.

We can offer this position as self employed. The rate of pay is 13.20ph. We cannot provide set hours of work or number of hours per week as this position is depending on work we have booked in.

You will be required to have a Private Hire Drivers Licence from Shropshire Council for this position, which we can point you in the right direction of how to apply. You will be required to pay for this yourself, however, we will look at reimbursement of this. As part of the application process to Shropshire Council, you will need to apply for an enhanced DBS and undertake a driving assessment and a multiple choice test. We can assist you throughout this process.
