Key Accountabilities:

Private Payer Medical Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and implement medical affairs strategies for private healthcare, leading comprehensive stakeholder mapping and segmentation to foster trusted partnerships with PMIs, providers, healthcare professionals, academic groups, and medical technology companies. As the point of contact building the connection with the private sector and collaborating closely to gather insights and promote the adoption of innovative oncology and companion diagnostics solutions.
Collaboration & Horizon Scanning:

Work collaboratively across functions on horizon scanning activities to anticipate emerging clinical, regulatory, and diagnostic developments, identifying new opportunities to transform patient pathways and improve care.
Medical Information Dissemination & Notifications:
Lead the delivery of tailored medical and diagnostic information, coordinating with therapy medical teams and ensuring key stakeholders receive timely and relevant notifications of pivotal changes--including major data read outs, licensing milestones, and important reimbursement updates.
Process Optimisation & Capability Building:

Identify and address challenges in how medical information is shared with private payers, streamlining internal processes and improving efficiency. Build capabilities for private medical engagement, promoting matrix-leadership, payer segmentation, and best-practice information sharing.

Essential Experience:
-------------------------
Degree in Life Sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or relevant scientific subject area
Either AQP certification or willing to undertake AQP training within 6 months
Proven knowledge of the private healthcare landscape, including experience engaging with private medical insurers (PMIs), providers, academic groups, and med tech/diagnostics companies
Deep understanding of AstraZeneca's oncology in-line portfolio, pipeline assets, and competitor landscape
Proven diagnostics/assay knowledge
Significant experience working in oncology within pharma, life sciences, or clinical/medical affairs settings
Experience engaging with private medical insurers, providers, HCPs, and diagnostic partners
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proven track record to generate, analyse, and interpret clinical and real-world data, contributing to evidence generation, publication strategies, and educational initiatives
Ability to define, develop, and implement medical affairs strategies, incorporating insights from payer engagement and clinical advancements in the oncology and diagnostics fields
