Job Summary

We are seeking a warm, capable and highly organised Nanny-Housekeeper to support our family home and two school-aged children. This is a live-out role based between Long Eaton and Stanton by Dale. The role combines high-quality childcare with full household management and garden upkeep, and would suit someone who takes genuine pride in running a home to a very high standard.

This is not a light tidy or babysitting role. We are looking for someone proactive, reliable and confident who enjoys responsibility, structure and variety, and who becomes a trusted presence in the home.

Duties

Provide attentive, engaged after-school care including school pick-ups, settling the children at home, snacks, homework encouragement, reading and activities, with clear boundaries around device use.
Prepare and cook family meals on childcare days so dinner is ready for early evening.
Manage school routines including packing school bags, checking and signing homework diaries, and laying out correct uniforms for the next day.
Carry out full household laundry from washing through to folding and wardrobes, including bed changing.
Maintain a consistently clean, organised home including bedrooms, living areas, kitchen and bathrooms.
Complete regular deep-clean and organisation tasks such as ovens, cupboards, storage areas and toy systems.
Undertake garden maintenance including mowing lawns, trimming plants, sweeping outdoor areas and keeping the garden neat and well maintained.
Drive children safely when required and adapt to changing club schedules.
During school holidays, provide longer childcare days at home including activities, meals, light outings and maintaining the home and garden.
Communicate clearly and regularly to ensure the household runs smoothly.

Skills and Experience

Experience as a nanny, housekeeper or in a combined household role is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to take ownership of a home without constant direction.
Confident, safe driver with a full driving licence.
Comfortable cooking family meals and managing household routines.
Warm, kind and fun with children, while being firm enough to encourage homework, routines and boundaries.
Immaculate standards of cleanliness with the confidence to reorganise and improve systems.
Physically capable of household and garden work including mowing and lifting laundry.
Reliable, proactive and fully engaged, with minimal phone use during working hours.

What We Offer

Approximately twenty hours per week during term time, with consistent hours and flexibility built in.
School holiday hours condensed into longer childcare days.
Hourly rate of twelve seventy-five to thirteen fifty depending on experience.
Weekly fuel allowance.
Food provided while working in the home.
Twenty-eight days holiday pro rata.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.75-13.50 per hour
