Who are we?



Newmedica is one of the leading providers of NHS-funded ophthalmology services in England. We provide services for NHS ICB, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, and other providers of NHS funded services. We deliver over 225,000 patient interactions annually, including outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. Our services are delivered through a variety of models including Managed Services and Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) Partnerships.



Purpose of the Role



We are seeking a new and motivated Private Manager to join Newmedica North Derbyshire to grow our private patient business. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware and have experience in Health care, ideally Ophthalmology. Excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering patient and customer excellence. They will be at ease working with Private patients; to understand their needs and ensure we delight our patients with outstanding service and outcomes.



The successful person will liaise with self-pay and medically insured patients, local referring teams, consultant and administrative teams to deliver the ambitious growth targets that Newmedica North Derbyshire have for Private patient activity.



Full or Part time applicants considered. Patterns of work could include weekends and an evening session to support the delivery of private activity as the service grows.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Develop and deliver a business development / growth strategy for increasing revenue from self-pay and insured customers in line with Newmedica North Derbyshire's business plan.

Develop the pipeline of private patient enquiries and convert these enquiries to initial outpatient appointments.

Own and manage the private patient experience from initial enquiry and act as the point of contact for patients throughout their treatment with Newmedica.

Lead on providing patients with information around alternative treatment options based on their lifestyle preferences.

Use tools and reporting provided to regularly review activity and revenue forecasting and tracking.

Support Consultant appointment capacity being fully utilised by working with the SMT and attendance at key meetings.

Work effectively with the Operational Director and SMT to identify new business opportunities and develop existing services to drive growth in line with business plans.

Ensure private patients and key stakeholders' contractual


requirements are met and we are delivering a consistently outstanding service, conducive to growth. Consistently reviewing patient and service user feedback to improve.


Build and maintain excellent relationships with consultants and all internal and external stakeholders in order to maximise opportunities and encourage loyalty.

Understand PMI networks and consultant inclusion.

Provide effective support to members of the admin team in the delivery of our private patient service.

Develop in-depth knowledge of Newmedica services and product offerings.

Working closely with the clinicians, service managers and clinical leads to deliver a premium service.

Desirable:


Sales and customer service experience with proven track record in customer relationship management and business development.

Tenacious in identifying sales and business development growth opportunities and experience of executing delivery of challenging business and budget deliverables.

Passion and proven ability to deliver an excellent customer experience for all patients.

Confident in engaging and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Good analytical skills

A proven ability to work in both a team environment and independently.

Flexible and adaptable with a proactive and innovative approach to the role.

Strong computer skills and literacy

Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role and provide support and development for others where appropriate.
