The Housing and A Fairer Stockton-on-Tees service are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated individual to join the Private Sector Housing Team to help with the delivery of HMO Licensing within the borough and supporting the Private Sector Housing Team.
This is a fixed-term post and the expected duration is 24 months from start date.
The emphasis in this role is on processing HMO licence applications, issuing of licences, and providing support and assistance to landlords.
Ideally applicants should be able to demonstrate: Some knowledge of the principles of HMO Licensing
Experience of business administration, including recording receipt of customer documents and payments
Good customer service skills, including the ability to deal with people in a calm and helpful manner
Experience of working with management information systems, including the input of accurate information to ensure proper record keeping
Good written and verbal communication skills
A willingness to assist with property and area inspections from time to time.
Good interpersonal skills along with a flexible and professional approach to work and embracing the Councils culture statement are essential.
As this is a fixed-term post, secondment opportunities will be considered for internal employees. Please obtain prior approval from your current line manager before completing the application. For further information, please refer to the councils secondment policy.
This is a part time role of 30 hours per week and the actual salary for the role is 21,407 - 21,749.
