Due to the expansion of the current business, we are seeking to recruit a Process Engineer.
As Process Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the correct methods, systems and equipment are used within the manufacturing facility to convert both raw materials and brought in components into their final product form. Developing new working practices, routines and solutions to improve productivity and product quality. It will be integral to work with Engineering, Production and Quality to produce and oversee new and existing processes, workflows, PFMEA's and any other supporting documentation to aid with a seamless production build.
It will also be the responsibility of the Process Engineer to carry out regular internal audits of processes/procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards is maintained, this will include carrying out suitable methods of RCA's and other continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Be part of the process development of new and existing processes and procedures
Carry out internal audits of processes to ensure these are being adhered too.
Lead continuous improvement with select teams.
Manage and action any deviations/non-conformance to ensure any repeat failures do not reoccur.
Produce production workflows for main product types.
Always adhere to Health & Safety Regulations.
Adhere to the required Industry Standard Quality Systems - ISO 9001.
Qualifications & Education:
National Diploma and/or NVQ Level 4 relating to Engineering and Production/Project Management
Understanding of Rotating Electrical Machines and associated process.
Understanding of a lean manufacturing environment.
Experience:
Proven experience of undertaking process development within an engineering manufacturing environment or similar.
Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing, process control, PFMEA's, and RCA's.
Ability to carry out lean internal auditing of processes as part of ISO 9001.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge in process engineering principles and methodologies.
Analytical skills to assess, monitor, and troubleshoot process systems and their performance.
Problem-solving abilities to identify, analyse and resolve process related problems quickly and efficiently. Attention to detail to ensure all specifications and regulations are met during the process design and implementation stages.
Understanding of health and safety regulations to ensure all processes are compliant and safe.
Ability to adapt to new technology and software that could enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
