Job Summary

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Process Engineer to optimise key manufacturing processes and enhance yield and quality. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day plant operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that technical developments deliver measurable performance benefits across the production environment.

Main Responsibilities

Optimise process performance, efficiency, and product quality Monitor key control parameters, investigate deviations, and support troubleshooting Improve energy and fuel efficiency while maintaining quality standards Develop and maintain process control plans with operations teams Use PLC tools and statistical methods to reduce variation and improve stability Lead measurement system improvements and ensure quality compliance Drive continuous improvement and innovation projects (DMAIC, Six Sigma, Agile) Maintain clear documentation of process changes and trial outcomes Manage small capital projects alongside daily technical support

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Degree in Chemical, Process or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience Proven technical and process engineering expertise Strong understanding of optimisation methods and core engineering principles Experience with CI, problem solving and error-proofing (Poka Yoke desirable) Awareness of ISO9001/14001/45001 advantageous Strong analytical and data presentation skills Understanding of cost and financial impacts IOSH Managing Safely
