About this opportunity

We have an opportunity for a

Process Engineer

for our Cans department at Botcherby located in Carlisle (UK) which is one of Crown's biggest plants in Europe. With 3 can lines installed and the potential to grow further with planned investment, making this an exciting time to join the Cans Manufacturing team.

Key accountabilities will be:

To support the Manufacturing Manager by leading, designing, implementing and optimising the efficiency of the manufacturing processes in line with all key KPI's. Work in partnership with safety, production, quality and engineering to drive standards. As part of the management team take an active role in instructing, directing and encouraging shift teams. Be a safety leader in all aspects of our operation. Assist in establishing best practise and the implementation across the organisation. Drive continuous improvement as the ambassador for the function in the cans department.

The ideal candidate should have:

A degree in an engineering discipline with strong continuous improvement skills and/or managerial experience at an appropriate level, however experience in the manufacturing process of the relevant department with a level 3 engineering qualification will be considered. Good awareness of problem solving and improvement tools with a track record of driving root-cause analysis. Excellent communication skills. Skills and a proven record in delivering training.

Desirable

Project management skills Knowledge of ISO standards Lean Six-sigma black belt
