As a

Process Engineer

, you will play a critical role in optimising our manufacturing operations by driving continuous improvement, leading preventive maintenance programmes, and fostering a culture of quality and operational excellence.

You'll take the lead in managing our

CMMS (Limble)

system, crafting robust

preventive maintenance plans

, developing

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

using

SCRIBE

, and enabling

autonomous maintenance

strategies across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities



Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodology to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. Develop, maintain, and communicate clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) using known methods or software packages, ensuring accessibility and operator adherence. Lead and support Autonomous Maintenance programs by training operators to conduct first-line diagnostics, routine equipment checks, and basic maintenance tasks. Act as a technical coach and trainer for production staff on maintenance routines, housekeeping standards, and process controls. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to analyse root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Ensure that all process documentation, maintenance records, and improvement logs are accurate and up to date. Support project teams during equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications with process impact analysis and operator training. Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the shop floor in alignment with Siderise values. Facilitate communication between maintenance, engineering, and production to ensure seamless execution of PM and improvement activities. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, downtime, and quality, and report progress to management. Optimise Manufacturing Processes Through ERP, collaborating with Planning and Production to define and refine ERP routings, timings, and standard operations. Analyse production data to support process efficiency, accuracy of bill of materials (BOMs), and cost control.

Qualifications & Experience



Essential

:

Engineering background with hands-on manufacturing experience. Proven experience in creating and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to support consistent and compliant manufacturing practices.

Desirable



Experience with CMMS software (preferably Limble) and preventive maintenance. Yellow/Green Belt in Lean or CI; familiarity with SCRIBE for SOP creation. Experience training or coaching within a manufacturing setting.

Skills & Knowledge



Sound understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance routines, and fault diagnostics. Proficient in Lean tools (e.g., root cause analysis, visual management, 5S, Kaizen). Skilled in documentation, training delivery, and engaging cross-functional teams. Comfortable working with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and technical software.
