Interaction Recruitment are currently representing a leading Manufacturing/Engineering company based in Newton Aycliffe who are looking to add a Process Engineer to their team on a Permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be working a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday- 07:45- 17:30.

Salary for this position is in the region of \xc2\xa335,000- \xc2\xa340,000 per year, depending on experience.

Overview:

To plan, coordinate and oversee the engineering, activities of the organisation & be responsible relevant business KPI\xe2\x80\x99s. They are responsible or part of a team that plan and execute engineering projects, overseeing the efficient running of technology projects, improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure safe & efficient manufacturing processes, quality improvement projects to deliver quality first time every time. You\'ll provide strong & direct leadership to all site technicians, ensuring the on-going development of the team. To assess, monitor & enhance business performance. Constant analysing of current practices & develop business process improvements. To implement changes in workflows, structures & teams to ensure a continual improving performance. whilst overseeing day to day operations of the design department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Designs, implements, and refines product development, and manufacturing processes
  • Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel in line with business objectives
  • Facilitate the engineering team in the successful Industrialisation of new products, solutions, and processes
  • Oversees engineering projects, logistics and resource allocation
  • Using data identifies area of improvement to include efficiency, sustainability of processes, product designs to reduce waste & maximise profit including the integration of new technologies
  • Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching, and proposing capital investments
  • Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies
  • Attends trade shows and conferences, and makes site visits to suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 facilities in line with standards & quality requirement
  • Embraces and cultivates the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategy on E.S.G
  • Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
  • Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector
  • Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborates & facilitates meetings with other team leaders and departments that ensures the desired outcomes are achieved
  • Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Ensures that Voice of the Customer is upmost in all technical projects & improvements
  • Leads by example & always shows professional behavioural competencies.
  • Ensures the facility is kept safe & is always in good condition including ensuring all repairs are carried out to the highest standard
  • Is responsible for and leads the way in ensuring the business Engineering, Quality & Facility KPI\xe2\x80\x99s are achieved
  • Take part in & lead, when necessary, any improvement, sustainability, or engagement initiatives
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of new engineering strategies for all operations at the site.
Experience & Qualifications Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, such as Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Proficiency in quality improvement tools, such as statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards applicable to the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communicational, organisational, and motivational skills
  • Computer literate
  • Able to work as part of a team and encourage co-operation
