About us...
Advanced Electric Machines (AEM), part of the Advanced Electric Machines Group, was formed in November 2016 as a spin out from Newcastle University.
Fast forward to 2025, AEM has worked with industry partners, vehicle manufacturers (globally) and academics to develop the most sustainable & highest performing powertrain solutions for electric vehicles across various industries. Most recently, AEM have secured a 7 figure investment from a leading global car-parts supplier.
Our technology is changing the perception of electrification, and when applied, it leaves more rare earth & copper in the ground...where it belongs!
We are an ambitious, growing organisation, where the atmosphere is dynamic and ever changing.
We have big plans and want to make a difference. Do you?
What will you do...
Develop manufacturing and testing processes by analysing product requirements through research, design, modifying and testing of new concepts.
Take ownership of both manufacturing and testing improvement projects from planning through to implementation and validation.
Identify inefficiencies or technical issues in existing manufacturing and testing methods, work with relevant parties to implement practical, innovative and sustainable solutions.
