Working Hours:

9 day fortnight (Every other Friday off), 7/7:30-15:55/16:25, early finish on Fridays

Overall Aim:

The Process Improvement Lead role is responsible for leading for the analysis, development of design & documenting future welding processes, with a strict focus on successful RT inspections. They will work closely with the production process owners to implement proposed welding process changes.

Outline of responsibilities:

Conducting review & lead any welding/fabrication process improvement activities across production. Support the business on special projects and ad-hoc requests. To review new welding processes alongside the company RWC. Implement and facilitate the training for new process alongside the company RWC. Ensure new welding processes are fit for purpose to facilitate a RT 100% pass. Investigate how new processes can help production flow and productivity. Collaborate with company RWC to facilitate production welding requirements, such as welder, prolongation, compliance, consumable traceability & controls, training etc.

Knowledge and Skill requirements

Experienced time served welder used to working within a pressure vessel manufacturing environment. Excellent people leadership skills. Proven track record in process improvement. Demonstrated experience of working independently. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, ability to identify & solve difficult operational issues. Ability to communicate effectively to various levels of seniority within the business.
