As the Process Operator, you will be required to work as part of the Production department at Cramlington to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in a safe and compliant manner, within a cGMP environment.
This role will support our 24/7 operations and therefore you will be expected to work a rotational shift pattern of 12-hour days and nights.
Your responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Control of Major Accidents & Hazards (COMAH) critical aspects of the Process Safety Management System and Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP) relevant to area of responsibility.
Comply with and promote all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) whenever required.
Conduct safety audits and attend learning events and Safety Action Team (SAT) meetings when required.
Operate Plant and Processes according to Procedures (Process Record Sheet (PRS), Permit to Work (PTW), current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
Conduct effective shift handovers.
As a SAP user the job holder will be required to carry out assigned SAP transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
Manage raw materials and intermediates required for process, including inventory checks.
Accurately record and check data - both written and electronic.
Manage production equipment in accordance with safety, operational and quality procedures.
Operate processes efficiently and participate in continuous improvement.
Monitor performance and critical parameters and alert when necessary.
Uphold cGMP principles in area of responsibility, continually seek opportunities to improve and enhance quality standards, and encourage other staff to do likewise
Comply with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.

Requirements for the role
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Knowledge of plant operations, ideally within a cGMP pharmaceutical or related industry would be advantageous but full training will be provided
Must be willing to work a rotational shift pattern covering 24/7 operations

We also require candidates to be competent with IT systems, and in particular Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
